Union Health Minister and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda is set to visit Odisha today, where he will participate in a key health program in Puri.
According to reports, Nadda is expected to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 7:55 pm. From there, he will travel to Puri, where he will spend the night before attending the National Health Summit the next morning.
His official schedule includes attending the summit at 10:00 am, followed by a visit to the revered Jagannath Temple at 2:00 pm. After completing his engagements in Puri, he will head back to Bhubaneswar for a brief stay at the State Guest House before catching his flight back to Delhi later in the evening.
One of the key highlights of his visit will be the release of the 16th Common Review Mission report, which evaluates the progress of the National Health Mission and identifies areas that need improvement.
Nadda’s visit is significant as Odisha has been making notable advancements in healthcare. This marks his second visit to the state in recent months, with his last trip taking place on September 26 last year.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling are also expected to attend the event, along with various state health secretaries. During the summit, discussions will be held on critical healthcare issues and strategies for further improving health services in Odisha.
