A group of Class 10 students on their way to their matriculation exam met with a tragic accident when their vehicle overturned mid-journey. The incident, which took place in Krushnanagar under Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district, left several students injured, with one girl in critical condition. Unfortunately, she was unable to appear for her exam due to the severity of her injuries.
How the Accident Happened
According to reports, 11 students were traveling to their exam center in an SUV when the driver lost control and crashed into a cyclist on the road. The impact was fatal for the cyclist, identified as Subrat Mandal, who died on the spot. The vehicle then overturned, leaving the students with serious injuries. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and further details are awaited.
Class 10 Board Exams Underway in Odisha
Meanwhile, the Odisha Class 10 board exams began today and will continue until March 6, 2025. The first paper, First Language, was conducted today, followed by the Second Language paper on February 23. The Mathematics exam is scheduled for February 26, with Third Language on February 28, Science on March 4, and Social Science concluding the exams on March 6.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has introduced strict measures to prevent cheating and ensure a smooth examination process. To curb malpractices, sealed question papers are being used with tight security protocols for distribution.
