The Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) has announced the exam dates for the Sub-Inspector (SI) and other equivalent posts across different districts in the state.
Exam Schedule:
- SI Exam Date: March 8, 2025
- Other Posts Exam Date: March 9, 2025
Candidates can download their Admit Cards from the Odisha Police website starting March 1, 2025, using their login credentials. The admit card will have details about the exam center and schedule.
Important Exam Guidelines
Candidates must strictly follow these instructions to avoid disqualification:
Before the Exam:
Bring these documents:
- Admit Card (printout)
- Original Photo ID (Aadhaar/E-Aadhaar)
- Photocopy of Photo ID (with your Roll No. and signature)
- Without these, you won’t be allowed inside.
- Bring a ballpoint pen (blue or black ink) to fill the OMR sheet.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before the exam begins.
- Latecomers will not be allowed.
Locate your exam center a day before the exam to avoid last-minute confusion.
During the Exam:
Prohibited Items:
- Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, or any electronic devices
- Books, notes, or any unauthorized material
- Strict Silence: No talking, copying, or any form of cheating.
- No leaving the hall early: You must stay until the full exam time ends.
Handling of Answer Sheet:
- Check for missing pages or misprints before starting.
- Correctly fill your Roll No. and Question Booklet Set code on the OMR sheet.
- Darken circles fully (half-filled or multiple circles will not be read by the system).
Warning: Incorrectly filled OMR sheets will be rejected, and no marks will be awarded.
Consequences of Misconduct
- If a candidate is found cheating, talking, or using unfair means, they may be expelled from the exam and banned from future exams.
- impersonation is a criminal offense and will result in immediate arrest. Penalty Under Odisha Exam Conduct Act, 1988:
- Violating exam rules can lead to imprisonment for up to 3 months or a fine of up to ₹3,000.
Final Reminder
- Be on time! Candidates arriving after 9:30 AM will not be allowed inside.
- Double-check that your photo and signature match what you submitted in your application.
- No scribe is allowed to assist candidates in marking answers.
