Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is all set to launch the Odisha Antyodaya Gruha Yojana 2025, a major housing scheme aimed at providing homes to underprivileged families. The launch event will take place in Kalahandi district on March 30, 2025.
Who Will Benefit from This Scheme?
The scheme is designed to help 50,000 people from vulnerable sections of society, including:
- Persons with disabilities
- Widows
- People suffering from severe illnesses
- Families of martyrs
- Padma Shri awardees
The initiative is part of the Odisha government’s commitment to ensuring housing for the poor.
Beneficiary Survey and Registration
To ensure the scheme reaches those who need it most, the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department is conducting a household survey. This survey will continue until March 31, 2025.
- So far, 19 lakh people have registered for the survey.
- More registrations are expected before the deadline.
Implementation Through the Panchayati Raj Department
Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik confirmed that this scheme was already mentioned in the state budget. The government has taken several steps to connect a large number of poor families to the housing scheme.

Eligible beneficiaries who have applied for the scheme can check their application status and other details through:
- Panchayat Extension Officers (PIOs)
- Block Development Officers (BDOs)
They will assist in providing updates and ensuring a smooth implementation process.
