Odisha CM Announces ₹20 Lakh Aid, Job for Widow of Pahalgam Terror Attack Victim

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited the home of Prashant Satpathy in Ishani village, Balasore district, to personally pay his respects after Satpathy lost his life in a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Deeply moved by the tragedy, CM Majhi announced a financial aid of ₹20 lakh for Prashant Satpathy’s family to help them in this difficult time. He also assured the family of continued support from the government: Prashant’s wife will be offered a government job, and their nine-year-old son will receive free education for the rest of his schooling.

During his visit, CM Majhi laid floral tributes beside Prashant’s mortal remains and stood in solidarity with the grieving family. He also issued a strong condemnation of the terror attack, calling it an inhumane act that took away the life of a brave man.

The tragic incident has left the entire community in mourning. Thousands of locals gathered to attend Prashant Satpathy’s funeral, showing a powerful display of unity and sorrow. His cremation took place in the village this afternoon, marking a solemn farewell to a life lost too soon.
