The Odisha government has carried out a major reshuffle of senior IPS officers, reassigning 26 top officials to new positions. Among the key changes, the Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack have been swapped.
According to the official notification from the Home Department, Bhubaneswar DCP Pinaka Mishra has been transferred to serve as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Special Task Force (STF) in Bhubaneswar. Meanwhile, Jgmohan Meena, who was the DCP of Cuttack, will now take over as the DCP of Bhubaneswar. Stepping into Meena’s former role, Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo, previously the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Bolangir, will be the new DCP of Cuttack.
Other Key Transfers:
- M. Narvane (Director of Printing & Stationery) is now the Special Director General (DG) at the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC).
- Diptesh Kumar Pattanaik (CMD, OSRTC) is taking over as Director of Printing & Stationery.
- Yatindra Koyal (ADGP, Provisioning) has been posted as ADG, Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC).
- Praveen Kumar (IGP, Personnel) is now IGP, Central Range, Cuttack.
- Narsingha Bhol (Excise Commissioner) has been assigned as Additional Commissioner of Police (CP), Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
- Deepak Kumar (IGP, Home Guards & Fire Services) will now serve as IGP, Operations.
- Jai Narayan Pankaj (IGP, Operations) has been moved to IGP, Intelligence.
- Dr. Sarthak Sarangi (IGP, Southern Range, Berhampur) is now IGP, Crime Investigation Department-Crime Branch (CID-CB).
- Niti Shekhar (IGP, Southern Range) will now be IGP, South Western Range, Koraput.
- Umashankar Dash (Additional CP, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack) is now DIG, Home Guards & Fire Services.
- Akhileshvar Singh (DIG, Operations) is transferred to DIG, South Western Range.
- Charan Singh Meena (DIG, Central Range, Cuttack) has been moved to DIG, Provisioning.
- Jugal Kishore Kumar Banoth (DIG, State Police HQ) will now be DIG, Personnel.
- Battula Gangadhar (DIG, State Police HQ) is reassigned as DIG, CID-CB.
- Vivekananda Sharma (AIGP, State Police HQ) is now SP, Railways, Cuttack.
- Abilash G (SP, Kalahandi) has been transferred as SP, Bolangir.
- Nagaraj Deverkonda (SP, Boudh) will replace him as SP, Kalahandi.
- Rahul Goel (SP, Railways, Cuttack) has been posted as SP, Boudh.
- Ankit Kumar Verma (SDPO, Jeypore) is now Additional DCP, Bhubaneswar UPD.
- Kashyap Partha Jagdish (Probationary IPS) has been assigned as SDPO, Jeypore.
- Amritpal Singh (SDPO, Nuapada) is transferred as Additional SP, Khurda.
- Amritpal Kaur (SDPO, Padmapur) is now Additional DCP, Bhubaneswar UPD.
- Sonali Singh Parmar (SDPO, Bonai) will take charge as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Bhubaneswar UPD.
This reshuffle aims to strengthen law enforcement and administrative efficiency across different regions in the state.
