The UK government has reported a record number of Pension Credit applications, thanks to an improved online claim process that takes an average of just 16 minutes to complete. - Three in ten low-income pensioners have not checked their eligibility, while one in ten who qualify have not applied.

The government is also encouraging people to assist elderly relatives and friends in applying for Pension Credit. Low-income pensioners, particularly those who are isolated, may be unaware of their eligibility. By spreading awareness, more pensioners can receive the financial support they deserve.
