Over 100 students from Odisha are gearing up for an exciting winter adventure camp in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, running from February 27 to March 5.
The students set off for Manali today, following a warm send-off at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. During the ceremony, Minister Suryabanshi Suraj—who heads Higher Education, Sports & Youth Services, and Odia Language, Literature & Culture—wished them a fun and enriching experience.
He encouraged the students to embrace the adventure, reminding them that they are also ambassadors of Odisha’s youth and culture. According to the minister, the camp is not just about fun, but will also help in building their personalities and creating unforgettable memories.
Several notable figures were present at the send-off, including Utkal University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sabita Acharya, Sports & Youth Services Department Director Deepankar Mahapatra, Additional Secretary Bijay Kumar Swain, and Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Panda.
At the camp, students will get to try a variety of thrilling activities such as trekking, rock climbing, river crossing, river rafting, and zip-lining. This unique adventure is designed to provide them with valuable life experiences and contribute to their overall growth.
